Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
